Educational institutions offering Technical Baccalaureate (BT) programs in Ecuador’s Zone 4 have been organizing academic and demonstration fairs to showcase their professional fields to tenth-year students. These events aim to provide students with clear options for continuing their education in a way that supports skill development and future opportunities.
The Portoviejo Educational Unit recently held its Second Technical Baccalaureate Fair in Informatics, themed “Techno Future AI – Shaping the City of Tomorrow.” Students presented projects using artificial intelligence across modules such as Programming and Databases, Operating Systems, and Technical Support. Visiting delegations viewed audiovisual galleries and automated models focused on futuristic concepts.
Similarly, Rocafuerte Educational Unit hosted a fair featuring both Technical and Science Baccalaureate offerings. Students demonstrated skills related to Hotel Services through culinary production areas, bakery activities, and food and beverage service demonstrations.
Maximiliano Núñez Tomaselli, Zonal 4 Education Coordinator, attended both events. He stated: “When students get to know firsthand what the Technical Baccalaureate offers, they discover new skills and see opportunities that can transform their future.”
In Zone 4, there are currently 183 educational institutions offering the Technical Baccalaureate program. This benefits more than 25,000 students with professional training linked to productive sectors, technology fields, and service industries.
