The Superintendence of Companies, Securities and Insurance, led by Luis Cabezas-Klaere, participated on April 2 in the Ordinary Session No. 002-2026 of the Coordination Committee of the Transparency and Social Control Function (FTCS) held in Durán. The meeting aimed to reinforce public integrity and transparency within state management.
This inter-institutional event brought together key supervisory entities from across the country to coordinate efforts that promote good practices, prevent corruption, and support efficient public administration.
During the session, letters of adherence were signed for the National Plan for Public Integrity and Fight Against Corruption with both the Ministry of Government and Universidad Bolivariana del Ecuador. In addition, a project was presented for an academic journal called “Integridad y Control,” which is designed to generate knowledge and contribute to strengthening public management.
A cooperation agreement was also signed with the Institute of National Higher Studies (IAEN) that will enable new academic training processes related to public integrity and good governance. As part of this initiative, a new specialization program in Public Integrity and Governance was introduced for civil servants seeking advanced studies.
The event included performances by the National Police Band of Ecuador as well as Anjoa dance group, whose artistic presentation highlights Afro-Ecuadorian traditions. In line with its commitment to civic education, FTCS awarded diplomas to citizens who completed training programs promoting a culture of transparency.
The Superintendence reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening oversight systems through participation in initiatives that encourage institutional ethics and collaboration among state agencies. The session was broadcast live on FTCS’s official channels so that information about these topics could reach a wider audience.
