On February 20, 2026, the Superintendent of Companies, Securities and Insurance, Luis Cabezas-Klaere, signed resolution No. SCVS-INC-DNASD-2026-00002033. This resolution approves an agreement that will allow 440 families to receive land as part of the insolvency process for URNOSA S.A., also known as Terrabienes.

The Superintendence of Companies, Securities and Insurance (SCVS) and creditors worked for over a year to reach this agreement. According to the statement, “This result marks an institutional milestone that demonstrates the effectiveness of dialogue and mediation as mechanisms to build favorable solutions for common benefit.”

URNOSA S.A. began its insolvency proceedings in 2019. For several years, the legal process did not provide a definitive solution for those affected. The current administration at SCVS took a more active role by organizing hearings and mediating between creditors to encourage settlements and move forward with the insolvency process.

During these proceedings, both individual and corporate claims were recognized according to established legal priorities. Over the past year, hearings were held to review and verify these claims while ensuring creditor participation rights.

The statement notes that “Thanks to this exhaustive conciliation stage, 440 families reached a definitive consensus together with other creditors, including financial institutions.”

The announcement was published on February 24, 2026.
