The Superintendencia de Compañías, Valores y Seguros (SCVS) has issued a reminder to legal representatives of companies about the importance of keeping their corporate information up to date. The agency emphasized that updates should be made if there are changes in address, phone number, email, shareholders, or other relevant details.

According to the SCVS, maintaining accurate company data is necessary for proper administrative management and timely compliance with obligations. The process for updating information involves logging into the official website supercias.gob.ec using a username and password, accessing the “Su Compañía Online” section, selecting the company, and clicking on “Actualizar información general.”

The SCVS stated: “Contar con la información correcta permite recibir comunicaciones oficiales, evitar inconvenientes en los trámites y mantener la compañía debidamente organizada.” (“Having correct information allows you to receive official communications, avoid issues in procedures, and keep the company properly organized.”)
