The Superintendencia de Compañías, Valores y Seguros (SCVS) announced on Apr. 7 that it will present its accountability report for the year 2025 on Tuesday, April 21 at 10:30 a.m. The event will take place at the Aula Magna of the Universidad Tecnológica Empresarial de Guayaquil.

This public session is described as an important democratic space supported by Ecuador’s Constitution and the Organic Law of Citizen Participation. Its aim is to ensure transparency, build public trust, and allow for social oversight of government activities.

Luis Cabezas-Klaere, superintendent of SCVS, will share achievements and progress made during the previous period. He will also discuss results from the company, insurance, and securities sectors. Citizens attending will have an opportunity to ask questions or raise concerns during the session.

In addition to this main event, the Regional Directorate in Quito—following current institutional structure as a Decentralized Operational Entity—will hold its own presentation covering management activities in both Quito and Ambato jurisdictions. This session is scheduled for Thursday, April 23 at 11:00 a.m., at Paraninfo of Universidad Andina Simón Bolívar.

Both events are set to be broadcast live through Facebook and YouTube channels operated by SCVS.

The organization said these efforts reaffirm its commitment “with transparency, good institutional governance and citizen participation,” aiming to strengthen ties between state institutions and society through such accountability exercises.
