The Superintendencia de Compañías, Valores y Seguros (SCVS) has announced the implementation of its Information Security Policy following the approval of Resolution No. ADM-2025-044 on October 22, 2025. This measure aims to enhance the protection of institutional data and technological infrastructure.

According to the SCVS, this policy sets guidelines designed to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of institutional information. The new framework is aligned with current regulations and international best practices.

Additionally, in compliance with ministerial agreement No. MINTEL-MINTEL-2024-0003, SCVS is adopting the Governmental Information Security Scheme (EGSI). The EGSI aims to strengthen information protection across public institutions by establishing a robust risk management framework and clear policies for safeguarding information at all organizational levels.

“The institution implements the Governmental Information Security Scheme (EGSI), which promotes the protection of institutional information, consolidates a solid risk management framework, and establishes clear policies to guarantee information security at all organizational levels,” stated an SCVS representative.
