The Unidad Educativa Fiscal Once de Febrero organized a civic event focused on water conservation as part of World Water Day activities, according to a March 25 announcement. The initiative, which included students and teachers, was also carried out at other institutions across the Metropolitan District of Quito.

The event featured the ‘Recreo Azul’ activity, described as an educational approach designed to help participants understand the importance of water, its natural cycle, and the need to protect ecosystems that produce it. The program aimed to engage students through dynamic learning experiences.

Organizers say these actions are intended to foster values such as responsibility and participation among students and encourage active involvement in environmental care. The Ministry of Education, Sports and Culture stated that it remains committed to providing comprehensive education that promotes responsible citizenship.
