The Superintendence of Companies, Securities and Insurance (SCVS) announced on Apr. 7 the publication of its Preliminary Accountability Reports for 2025. The reports cover both the national level and the Operative Decentralized Entity Regional Intendancy of Quito, in accordance with current regulations that require these documents to be released before their final versions.

This step allows citizens to review the preliminary reports and submit comments or observations aimed at strengthening the process. The national report consolidates institutional management across the country, including actions and results from all intendancies within SCVS. Meanwhile, the report for the Regional Intendancy of Quito provides details about management in that jurisdiction and includes information from the Regional Intendancy of Ambato as well.

Both documents summarize key actions, results, and institutional management carried out during the previous year. SCVS said this is part of its commitment to transparency in public resource use and to inform citizens about decisions made during its operations.

The preliminary national report can be accessed at https://www.supercias.gob.ec/portalscvs/doc/institucion/rc/RendicionCuentas2025/INFORME_DE_RENDICION_DE_CUENTAS_PRELIMINAR_2025_NACIONAL.pdf while the regional report covering Quito and Ambato is available at https://www.supercias.gob.ec/portalscvs/doc/institucion/rc/RendicionCuentas2025/INFORME_PRELIMINAR_RENDICION_DE_CUENTAS_EOD_IRQ_2025.pdf.

In its announcement, SCVS reaffirmed “its commitment to transparency and citizen participation in this process.”
