Pronaca received recognition at the third edition of “Hablemos de Cambio,” an event organized by Primicias to highlight good business and government practices in sustainability. The event aims to encourage dialogue on initiatives that help achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
At this year’s ceremony, Pronaca was recognized in three SDG categories. The company won first place for SDG 2: Zero Hunger, with its REDNI (Red de Nutrición Infantil) project. This initiative works to prevent chronic child malnutrition and supports healthy eating and adequate nutrition for children and mothers in vulnerable communities across the country.
Pronaca also secured second place for SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, due to its Circular Economy Strategy. This strategy focuses on optimizing resources, reducing waste, and encouraging responsible reuse within the company’s production processes.
Additionally, Pronaca received recognition for SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth through its AEI project. This project supports the development of culinary entrepreneurs and promotes opportunities for decent and sustainable employment.
“These recognitions reflect our commitment to the purpose of ‘Alimentar Bien,’ integrating sustainability at every stage of our value chain and actively contributing to the well-being of communities and the planet,” a statement from Pronaca said.
