The Ministry of Education, Sports and Culture in Ecuador has announced the start of the A2 level in the English scholarship program “Because He Is Nice.” This initiative aims to reach 200,000 beneficiaries in its second phase and is positioned as one of the country’s largest English language training programs.

The program’s main goal is to improve English skills among young Ecuadorians. According to the ministry, this effort is considered a strategic step to increase their job prospects and professional development.

In its first phase, “Because He Is Nice” offered free A1-level English courses to youth nationwide. Those who completed this stage can now move directly into the A2 level without additional registration or processes. The ministry said that all students who finished A1 successfully will be able to continue their studies seamlessly.

Different groups of scholarship recipients will join the new training cycle as they complete their academic validation process. The ministry stated that this transition will be organized, transparent, and meet established quality standards.

A total of 156,000 students who have completed level A1 are eligible for A2-level training. In addition, 44,000 new spots for A2 are being made available to young people across Ecuador.

Enrollment information can be found on the program’s website at https://educontinua.minedec.gob.ec/auth/login.

The government says this initiative reaffirms its commitment to public education, equal opportunities, and employability by helping young people gain skills needed in today’s job market.
