The Ecuadorian government, under President Daniel Noboa, has opened registration for the second phase of the “Because He Is Nice” scholarship program, which aims to strengthen English language skills among citizens. The application process began on November 13 and is available through an online platform.

As of now, 8,263 individuals have registered for this new stage. All participants have previously completed the A1 level, a prerequisite that allows them to continue their training in the program’s next phase. The initiative will be conducted entirely online and consists of 120 hours of study. Registration remains open until Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at https://educontinua.minedec.gob.ec/auth/login.

According to the press release: “The National Government reaffirms its commitment to equitable access to training opportunities, strengthening human talent and ongoing preparation of citizens to face contemporary challenges.”

This effort is part of a broader strategy by the government to promote continuous education and improve employment prospects through enhanced language proficiency.
