The Ministry of Education, Sport and Culture announced on March 16 that more than 8,240 students from eight prioritized educational institutions in Jama and Pedernales took part in the ENEIS Challenge fairs. These events are part of the National Strategy for Comprehensive Sexuality Education (ENEIS), a public policy initiative aimed at strengthening student participation and promoting healthy life projects.

The ENEIS Challenge fairs were held at Técnico Pedernales, Pedro Agustín López Ramos, Autónomo de Manabí, Sucres Mieles, Yasmina Zamora Goye, Jama, Rambuche, and José Salvador Casimiro Macías schools. The activities focused on preventing violence and early pregnancy through educational sessions, interactive games, and awareness processes involving students, teachers, and families.

Miguel Ángel Pinargote, principal of Alfredo Dueñas Educational Unit, said that implementing the National Strategy for Comprehensive Sexuality Education has strengthened inclusive practices and encouraged participation among teachers, students and legal representatives.

The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to policies that promote safe educational environments free from violence and with equal opportunities for all children and adolescents.
