The Ministry of Telecommunications and the Information Society (MINTEL) took part in a social outreach event in Pinllo, located in the Tungurahua province. The event was part of a series of social brigades led by the National Government and organized through the Ministry of Human Development to bring public services closer to citizens.

At the event, MINTEL set up an information stand about its Free Digital Points (PDG) project. This initiative aims to inform people about opportunities provided by technology and encourage them to use digital tools.

Community members received guidance on how to access digital services, participate in training processes, and utilize technological resources that support both personal development and productive activities.

According to MINTEL, these efforts are part of their ongoing commitment to reduce the digital divide and promote inclusion by delivering connectivity, knowledge, and opportunities directly to communities.

“The Government of Nuevo Ecuador continues working closely with people, strengthening access to technology and services that contribute to population well-being,” stated MINTEL officials.
