Ministry seeks software specialist to support digital transformation in education

The Ministry of Education, Sports and Culture (MINEDEC) has announced an open call for professionals to apply for the position of Software Specialist. The initiative aims to enhance technological processes and support digital transformation within the national education system.

Candidates must hold a postgraduate degree registered with the Secretariat of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (SENESCYT). The required fields include Information and Communication Technologies, Education, or Education with a focus on information technologies. Applicants should also have at least six years of professional experience.

Key skills for the role include knowledge of computer systems and operating platforms, management of virtual platforms, proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools, databases, Moodle platforms, and business intelligence tools. Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining web-based educational systems and resources is also important. Additional competencies such as information security, digital transformation strategies, and quality assurance in digital services are valued.

Applicants should be familiar with public sector regulations, educational standards, the Organic Law of the National Public Procurement System, and have teaching experience in any specialty.
