The Ministry of Public Health will deploy health teams at over 900 locations across the country on Sunday, December 14, 2025, as part of a national vaccination campaign against influenza and to update regular immunization schedules. The event is scheduled from 10:00 to 14:00 and aims to reach priority groups.

This initiative is promoted by Vice President María José Pinto and targets children, adolescents, elderly people, pregnant women, individuals with disabilities, and patients with chronic diseases.

According to the Ministry of Public Health, influenza virus circulation peaks between November and January each year. Outbreaks tend to occur from November through March as part of an annual cycle. There is also a need to protect children and adolescents with routine vaccinations to prevent illness and death from vaccine-preventable diseases or the reintroduction of these diseases in the country.

“Getting vaccinated means saving lives, a better future for new generations!” said organizers. “That is our priority!”
