The Ministry of Education, Sport and Culture delivered a new technology laboratory on March 27 at the Primero de Mayo Educational Unit, located in the canton of Yantzaza, Zamora Chinchipe province. The new facility will benefit 1,280 students.
The project included an investment of $33,400 for renovations and civil works to create a safe and modern environment. In addition, $33,000 was allocated for technological equipment. The total investment exceeds $66,400.
The laboratory is designed to support practical learning and the use of digital tools to meet current educational needs. During the handover ceremony, Favio Villamizar, Zonal Coordinator 7 for Education, addressed students: “Queridos estudiantes, aprovechen cada equipo, exploren cada software y desafíen su propio conocimiento.
According to the ministry’s statement in the release text itself (MINEDEC), these updates are intended to help students connect their education with current technological environments that are constantly evolving.
