The Ministry of Education, Sports and Culture has announced an extension for enrollment in the EPJA TEC Technical Baccalaureate program in the Sierra–Amazonía region. The new deadline for registration is December 12, 2025.

This semi-presential intensive program is designed for young people and adults who have not completed their formal education. It aims to improve employability by offering technical training aligned with productive sectors, supporting personal, professional, and social development.

The program offers three technical areas: Artistic; Sports and Health; and Technical. There are eight professional families available: Design; Health and Service; Agriculture; Sustainable Construction; Industrial; Technologies; Administrative and Financial; Tourism. A total of 22 professional profiles are available for technical training.

Eligibility is limited to individuals aged 18 or older who have not started or wish to complete their baccalaureate studies. Applicants must present identification documents such as a national ID card, passport, refugee card, or temporary code. They must also provide certificates showing completion of specific educational modules or grades. Those without academic records can request a placement exam at their local education district.

Interested applicants can contact Citizen Attention at (02) 3961300, (02) 3961400, (02) 3961500 or 1800 EDUCACIÓN for more information. Afterward, they should visit one of the twelve participating educational institutions across eight provinces to submit their documents. The program is free of charge.

EPJA TEC runs on a cycle lasting 100 days within an overall period of 18 months, including eight weeks dedicated to technical leveling courses. Classes take place from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., with both in-person attendance and synchronous activities required. Teacher-led tutorials occur from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.; these are mandatory for teachers but optional for students.

“The Ministry of Education, Sports and Culture reaffirms its commitment to educational inclusion and expanding training opportunities for youth and adults. Citizens are invited to take advantage of this free offer, which contributes to comprehensive development and strengthening skills for the labor market,” stated the ministry.
