The Ministry of Education, Sports and Culture delivered sports kits to 19 educational institutions in the cantons of Nangaritza, Paquisha and Centinela del Cóndor on March 26. The investment for this initiative was $4,800.

In addition to the sports equipment, the ministry provided 25 projectors and 25 speakers as part of the National Program for Reducing the Digital Gap in the National Education System. This technological support represented an additional investment of $11,400.

Víctor Merino, principal at Unidad Educativa Guaysimi, said that providing both sports and technological equipment strengthens efforts toward quality education that is inclusive and offers greater opportunities for children and young people.

Villamizar also said: “Sumamos más de 16.200 dólares en inversión directa para este distrito, reafirmando que para el Nuevo Ecuador no existen zonas olvidadas, sino territorios con un potencial inmenso que estamos decididos a fomentar.” He called on teachers to make full use of these technological tools; parents to continue their constant support; and students to use these resources “para construir sus sueños.”

The Ministry stated it remains committed to fostering integrative education throughout Ecuador.
