The interschool drawing competition “Dibujando Sueños” concluded with an award ceremony in Quito, closing the “Quito Educación, Deporte y Cultura” agenda. The event was organized by the Subsecretariat of Education, Sport and Culture of Quito in partnership with Jetmind Corporation.

More than 200,000 students from 300 educational institutions participated in what has become the largest school art contest in Quito. María José Moyano, Subsecretary of Education, Sport and Culture of Quito, attended the event alongside students and their families.

“‘Dibujando Sueños’ represents an education that promotes sensitivity, identity and the ability to imagine a future with opportunities. Each work presented reflects their vision, their effort and their ability to transform ideas into messages that inspire,” said Subsecretary Moyano.

The competition included three categories: Kids (6-8 years old), Children (9-11 years old), and Youth (12-16 years old). During the ceremony, semifinalists were recognized along with nine winners whose artwork reflected personal dreams as well as educational commitment to comprehensive cultural development.

Among those awarded was Bianca Suntaxi from Unidad Educativa Fiscal Simón Bolívar, who received second place in the Youth category. Her drawing depicted her home environment and expressed her desire to preserve family love and unity.

The Subsecretariat emphasized its ongoing commitment: “From the Subsecretariat of Education, Sport and Culture of Metropolitan District of Quito we reaffirm a clear conviction: transformative education integrates knowledge, values, culture and creativity, placing students at the center of every decision.”
