The fourth Zonal Technical Baccalaureate Fair brought together 26 educational institutions from the provinces of El Oro, Loja, and Zamora Chinchipe. The event aimed to showcase the training and productive potential of technical education in Zone 7. Authorities present included Governor Alexandra Jara and Favio Villamizar, Zonal 7 Coordinator for Education, Sports, and Culture, along with district directors.

This fair is part of ongoing reforms to improve the quality and relevance of technical baccalaureate programs. The reforms seek to align education with current needs in the goods and services sectors so that students gain updated skills for employment or further studies in strategic areas.

The main goal was to present the professional profiles offered by the Technical Baccalaureate through student projects, business initiatives, and service ventures. The event also served to inform the educational community about opportunities in technical education by displaying projects that demonstrated creativity, applied knowledge, and a strong connection with local industries.

Among participating schools were 18 public institutions, one church-affiliated school, five specialized education centers, one municipal school, and one private institution. Each contributed projects representing their training backgrounds.

Student work addressed professional areas such as Automotive Electromechanics, IT Support, Accounting, Food Product Industrialization, Electricity, and Sustainable Agricultural Production. Other fields represented included Metalworking and Metal Construction, Hotel Services, as well as Marketing and Sales.

Favio Villamizar stated: “Technical Baccalaureate is one of the most important commitments for the development of Zone 7. These fairs show that our students have talent, vision and abilities that meet the demands of the productive sector. We will continue strengthening this educational offer so more young people find real opportunities for employment and innovation through technical education.”

The fourth edition of this fair highlights an institutional commitment to promoting quality education focused on practical skills development, innovation, and engagement with local industry.
