The Ministry of Education, Sport and Culture announced on March 10 the launch of the Feria Nacional CREA 2026 with a series of three webinars aimed at informing and mobilizing the national educational community.
The initiative seeks to highlight student talent and strengthen an active, creative, and reality-connected education. Over its eleven previous editions, the Feria Nacional CREA has promoted methodologies such as Project-Based Learning (ABP) and STEAM+H, establishing itself as a pedagogical practice that transforms classrooms and encourages youth leadership.
For its twelfth edition, the ministry is presenting the “Ciclo de webinarios: Feria Nacional CREA 2026” to provide information, inspiration, and motivation for teachers and students. The webinars are designed to help participants understand this event as a cross-cutting pedagogical opportunity by sharing real experiences that demonstrate its impact. The goal is to encourage more institutions to develop and submit projects for consideration.
The first webinar took place on March 10 via Facebook Live. Participants included Emilio Félix Romero, Undersecretary for Educational Innovation and Integral Development; Sebastián Concha Villanueva, National Director of Pedagogical Improvement; Laura Barba, Pedagogical Improvement Analyst; Maribel Jarrín, strategic advisor from VVOB Education for Development; Norkis Barrezueta, student winner of CREA 2024; and Maribel Salmerón, teacher winner of CREA 2024. This session reviewed the fair’s trajectory from 2018 to 2025 and focused on agricultural topics with an emphasis on climate change in order to strengthen environmental awareness among participants.
The Ministry invites all members of the educational community to participate in these informative webinars and register their projects for the twelfth edition of Feria Nacional CREA 2026. The event aims to generate meaningful learning experiences while promoting environmental awareness and community engagement.
