As part of the EMPODERATECH Ecuador initiative, a new training cycle was launched under the Digital Entrepreneur Project. This program aims to enhance the digital skills of entrepreneurs and micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) across the country.

The training session, titled “Connect and Sell Today,” was created to help participants learn how to strategically use WhatsApp Business as a sales and customer service channel. The event took place over two sessions on January 27 and 28, 2026.

During these sessions, attendees were shown how to set up and optimize their WhatsApp Business Pro accounts. They learned how to create an appealing professional profile, organize product or service catalogs, activate automated responses, and use basic metrics to improve communication with customers.

Translated into English: “MINTEL seeks for businesses to strengthen their digital presence and achieve more sales by using simple everyday tools. Through practical examples, participants learned to provide faster, more organized and efficient service, generating greater trust and closeness with their clients.”

A total of 1,540 entrepreneurs and MSME representatives participated in this training process. Their involvement highlights public interest in adopting digital solutions that can boost sales and improve business management.

EMPODERATECH intends for such webinars to continue making digital knowledge accessible for those driving local economies. The goal is for more businesses to take advantage of technology as they adapt to new forms of electronic commerce.
