Ecuador wins 133 medals at Bolivarian Games Lima–Ayacucho 2025

Ecuador concluded its participation in the 20th Bolivarian Games Lima–Ayacucho 2025 with a total of 133 medals. The national delegation secured 40 gold, 49 silver, and 44 bronze medals across various sports.

Ecuadorian athletes competed in disciplines such as wrestling, swimming, athletics, weightlifting, Olympic shooting, judo, surfing, boxing, taekwondo, and notably E-Sports. The event took place from November 22 to December 7, 2025, bringing together around 4,000 athletes from 11 countries. Organizers describe the games as the most important multi-sport event in the region and a key step toward the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic cycle.

The Ecuadorian team included 229 members: 176 athletes and 53 support professionals comprising coaches, technical staff, medical personnel, and officials.

According to the government statement: “The National Government, led by President Daniel Noboa, through the Ministry of Education, Sport and Culture, reaffirmed its commitment to high performance through an investment of USD 540,336.”

“This financial support was aimed at ensuring Ecuador’s presence at the Games,” the statement continued. “It promotes national talent towards new challenges and demonstrates that sport is a State priority.”
