The Ministry of Public Health in Ecuador has provided dental and laboratory supplies to support healthcare services for more than 111,000 residents in the Pujilí, Saquisilí, and Sigchos cantons. This initiative is part of a government effort to strengthen primary health care across provinces.
Led by Vice President María José Pinto, the supply delivery is intended to improve diagnostic capabilities and ensure quality care for vulnerable communities. The investment in these medical supplies exceeds USD 64,000.
To address childhood anemia, microcuvettes were distributed. These tools help measure hemoglobin levels in children quickly. Their use allows for early detection and timely control of anemia, rapid diagnoses both at health centers and during outreach efforts, and immediate intervention during early childhood.
Dental health was also a focus with the provision of kits containing fluoride trays, diamond burs, restorative resins and ionomers, as well as specialized polishing kits.
“The Government of Nuevo Ecuador reaffirms its commitment to the responsible use of public resources and comprehensive care for Ecuadorian families,” stated officials from the Ministry of Public Health.
