Ecuador introduces $10 registration fee for new fully electric vehicles

Individuals who purchase new fully electric vehicles in Ecuador will now pay only USD 10 for vehicle registration, according to an announcement by the national government. This measure aims to support environmental goals and offer financial relief to citizens.

“Those who acquire new 100% electric vehicles can now benefit from paying USD 10 for vehicle registration, thus the National Government fulfills its commitment to the environment and provides fiscal relief to citizens,” states the official release.

This initiative is intended to encourage more people to choose electric vehicles, supporting efforts to reduce emissions and promote sustainable transportation.
