The Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport announced on March 23 that the enrollment and transfer process for students in the Costa–Galápagos regime for the 2026–2027 school year will begin on March 24. This process allows parents, guardians, or legal representatives to select an educational institution based on available spots and location.

According to the ministry, once the process is completed through the official website juntos.educacion.gob.ec, a certificate of enrollment will be sent to the email address registered by the legal representative. Schools are not permitted to request or require a printed copy of this document.

The schedule for enrollment and transfers will follow a specific timeline set by authorities. Municipal, fiscomisional (religious-affiliated), and private schools are responsible for creating and sharing their own academic calendars but may also choose to adopt the one established for public schools.

The Ministry said it guarantees free access to Ecuador’s educational system at all levels and in all modalities.

This announcement outlines key steps families must take as they prepare students for placement in Costa–Galápagos region schools next academic year.
