Dollar $tore will open its ninth location in Ecuador on Thursday, May 1. The new store is situated on Av. 9 de Octubre, between Av. Chile and Av. Pedro Carbo Noboa, in Guayaquil, Guayas province.
The store features over 470 square meters of sales area and four checkout counters. Operating hours are Monday to Saturday from 09:00 to 20:00, and Sundays and holidays from 10:00 to 19:00.
With a selection of more than 12,000 items, the product mix includes approximately 60% imported brands and 40% domestic brands. Categories offered range from groceries, personal care products, beauty items, toys, party supplies, electronics accessories, baby goods, homeware, pet accessories, sports equipment, hardware tools, automotive items, garden supplies, clothing for all ages and footwear to office materials and school supplies.
The company describes Dollar $tore as a place where customers can expect weekly new arrivals across various categories such as general merchandise, groceries, cleaning products and beauty items. “At Dollar $tore there are no special offers because everything is an offer; you can find all products for less than $5,” according to the press release.
Corporación Favorita states that human talent remains a priority for the company. With this opening in the Costa Centro zone it now employs more than 2,370 people across different formats nationwide. Since construction began at the new location together with WS., about 70 indirect jobs were generated through site improvements.
