Corporación Favorita recently organized a three-day training event for its micro and small suppliers. The sessions aimed to strengthen business relationships and support the growth of these suppliers. The training covered key topics related to the CF-AEI program, which is designed to classify suppliers into four categories based on their time working with Corporación Favorita: nascent, consolidation, expansion, and graduation. Each stage has specific goals that are determined through a detailed analysis of supplier data, allowing for progress evaluation.
An expert from Corporación Favorita led a session on reporting tools available in the company’s B2B portal. This included instruction on how to access various reports, with special attention given to a report created specifically for micro and small suppliers.
The event also featured presentations by specialists in digital platforms. Tipti, an e-commerce platform, introduced its business model as part of efforts to encourage more supplier participation. Additionally, representatives from Banco de Alimentos de Quito promoted the integration of suppliers into donation processes for returned goods, supporting charitable causes.
A highlight of the training was the presentation by Dr. Muller, an entrepreneur who shared his experience growing from a microenterprise to a medium-sized company. He emphasized that “with work, perseverance and the application of appropriate knowledge and tools it is possible to achieve sustained growth.”
