CELEC schedules maintenance at Nueva Babahoyo substation affecting Los Ríos and Guayas

On Sunday, November 23, 2025, the Corporación Eléctrica del Ecuador (CELEC EP), through its Transelectric Business Unit, will carry out scheduled maintenance at the Nueva Babahoyo substation in Los Ríos province. The maintenance aims to improve the quality of electrical service and ensure continuity of supply in the affected area.

The work will require a temporary restriction of electric service from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. The outage will impact several sectors, including the cantons of Babahoyo, Baba, Montalvo, Urdaneta, Puebloviejo, Palenque, Ventanas and Vinces in Los Ríos province. In Guayas province, Alfredo Baquerizo Moreno (Jujan) canton and Tres Postes area will also be affected.

CELEC EP expressed appreciation for public understanding regarding any inconvenience caused by this scheduled activity.
