The Corporación Eléctrica del Ecuador (CELEC EP) announced on March 13 that it will carry out preventive maintenance work at the Pedernales substation in Manabí province on Sunday, March 15 and Monday, March 16.

The maintenance aims to improve the quality of electricity service and ensure continuous supply for more than 90,000 residents in the cantons of Pedernales and Jama. The work will involve electrical tests to verify the operational condition of the transformer at the substation.

As a result of these activities, there will be temporary restrictions in electricity service for Jama and Pedernales. On Sunday, March 15, power will be restricted from 8:00 to 10:00. On Monday, March 16, restrictions will occur from 14:00 to 16:00.

CELEC EP thanked residents for their understanding regarding any inconvenience caused by these necessary works.

The company said these efforts are part of ongoing measures to maintain reliable energy infrastructure for local communities.
