The Corporación Eléctrica del Ecuador (CELEC EP) announced on March 13 that it will carry out emergency work at the Durán substation in Guayas province on Sunday, March 15.
The planned intervention aims to stabilize several components of the facility where increased temperatures have been detected, which could pose a risk to the infrastructure. The company said the goal is to improve the quality of electrical service and ensure continued supply for approximately 90,000 residents of Naranjal canton.
To complete these activities, CELEC EP stated there will be a restriction in electrical service between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. in Puerto Inca parish, Naranjal canton, within Guayas province.
CELEC EP thanked residents for their understanding regarding any inconvenience caused by this necessary maintenance work.
The broader impact of this intervention is focused on maintaining reliable electricity supply and preventing potential disruptions that could affect thousands of people in the region.
